Zachary Jones Neuray

Originally born and partially raised in Brussels to a British mum and Belgian dad, Zachary Jones Neuray’s love of music from all corners of the world would prove to be pivotal to his transition upon moving to Portland, Oregon in the early 2000’s. While attending the University of Oregon to pursue his degree his Journalism and Anthropology - and in the aftermath of the global pandemic - Jones Neuray would become a DJ for the college radio station, KWVA 88.1 FM, and ultimately discover the Eugene houseshow soon one fateful night on a fortuitous and undisclosed lawn. 

As serendipity would have it, this community would spark his passion for the local underground scene of artists and creatives alike. With a background in audio and film studies, he would soon create his own podcast, the 5th, interviewing up-and-coming bands in the area while showcasing their music all while joining Align Magazine’s music team in the fall of 2022. Two years later Jones Neuray would lead the documentary, “No Quiet Hours”, with a hefty team of fellow students and friends. Jones Neuray is now based in London, directing the documentary from afar while freelancing as a journalist in Madrid for the next 6 months, and DJing for KBOO 90.7 FM, based in Portland, Oregon.
