Harper Mahood
VIDEOGRAPHER & RESEARCHER
Harper Mahood is a journalist and videographer from Portland, OR who is currently based in Madrid. Mahood graduated from the University of Oregon in the spring of 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in Art with a photography concentration. During her time in undergrad she worked for Flux Magazine as a photographer as well as Align Magazine as a photographer and model. She also wrote for the Arts and Culture segment of her campus newspaper, the Daily Emerald. Mahood serves as a videographer, editor and researcher for No Quiet Hours.
Mahood’s first encounter with DIY music dates back to her childhood in Portland, where she grew up tagging along to band practice with her father. Her first job was working for her father’s record and instrument store, Mothership Music, nestled in the heart of Northeast Portland. She recalls fondly selling records at many of the live shows her father would host within the store. A musician herself, she is passionate about uplifting the work of artists, highlighting the importance of underground communities and showcasing the importance of investing in artists and their crafts.
